Norma Nora Villarreal entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at a hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 69. She was born on October 13, 1956, to Lisandro G. Moreno Sr. and Josefa Garcia Moreno in Falfurrias, Texas. Norma worked for many years as a home health provider and was a caregiver for many. She also volunteered many hours of her time at the local nursing home.
Norma was the most selfless person you could ever meet. She was always going above and beyond for anyone in need. She had the most caring and giving heart and loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. In her spare time, Norma enjoyed arts and craft projects, crocheting, and playing bingo and loteria.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lisandro and Josefa Moreno; brothers, Mario Moreno and Homero Moreno and sister, Susana Moreno.
Norma leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Hector Z. Villarreal Sr. of Falfurrias; daughter, Monica (Christopher) Valdez of San Antonio; sons, Hector (Lori) Villarreal, Jr. of Ricardo, Texas, Humberto (Yadira Garza) Villarreal and Homero Villarreal both of Falfurrias; brothers; Lisandro (Karina) Moreno, Jr. of Laredo, Texas and Julian (Virginia) Moreno of Falfurrias; sister, Marivel (Orlando) Mendez of Falfurrias; 12 grandchildren, Mia Valdez, Jacob Valdez, Philip Villarreal, Kayla Martinez, Katie Villarreal, Ayden Villarreal, Haley Villarreal, Haizel Villarreal, Haliegha Villarreal, Delaney Villarreal, Heidi Villarreal, and Heston Villarreal; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Hector Villarreal Jr., Humberto Villarreal, Homero Villarreal, Philip Villarreal, Jacob Valdez and Saul Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearer is Hector Z. Villarreal Sr.
Rosary will be recited at 9:30a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Services will conclude with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.
