Ofelia M. Escamilla

Ofelia M. Escamilla entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at a hospital in Laredo, Texas. She was born on August 16, 1930 to Juan Morales and Aristea Morales Morales in Sombreretillo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Ofelia was a housewife. She was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by her parents; her husband, Juan Escamilla; grandson, Jonavin Escamilla and numerous siblings.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her son, Juan L. (Andrea) Escamilla of Hebbronville, Texas; daughters, Diana (Jaime) Rodriguez of Laredo, Enedelia (John) Straughan of San Antonio, Texas, Nancy (Ademar) Galvan of Laredo and Ofelia (Rafael) Pena of Laredo; brother, Joel (Olga) Morales of Nuevo Leon, Mexico; 15 grandchildren;10 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Kike Rodriguez, Nathan Galvan, Alexis Galvan, Juan Roberto Galvan, Justin Escamilla and Elias Gonzalez.

A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Interment will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
