Olinda Perez Salas passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at a hospital in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 88. She was born June 28, 1929 to Avelino S. Perez and Ofira Chapa Perez in Concepcion, Texas. Olinda was a seamstress along with the many other jobs that she held throughout her lifetime. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her and she was always there to support them in any way possible.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Salas and sister, Ercilia P. Saenz.
Olinda is survived by her son, Jimie Joe (Stephanie) Salas of Thrall, Texas; daughter, Imelda M. (Omar) Cantu of Falfurrias, Texas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Concepcion. Burial will follow at the Oscar Perez Cemetery in Concepcion.
