Oscar Ayarzagoitia Jr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 17, 2024 in Falfurrias, Texas, at the age of 56. He was born on May 20, 1967 to Oscar Alberto Ayarzagoitia and Hilda Salinas Ayarzagoitia in Falfurrias, Texas. He was an HVAC and Electrical Technician for several years and was currently a resident of Mission, Texas.
Oscar was not only a great husband but also the best dad, a loving brother, uncle, cousin and caring friend. Throughout his years, people gave him many nicknames including Rocket, York, Tati and Jito, but his favorite one was being called Dad. His happiest times were when he was surrounded by family and friends making memories. He took pride in all his work and enjoyed having the ability to help others when in need. His unofficial job title was being everyone’s favorite cook and BBQ master. He had great love for football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He will always be remembered for his love of life, jokes, laughter and his devotion to others.
His heart of gold and the love he expressed for his family will never be forgotten and will forever be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rene Mireles and sister, Oneida Ayarzagoitia.
To cherish his memories, Oscar leaves behind his wife, Denise Guzman Ayarzagoitia of Mission; son, Oscar Ayarzagoitia III of Mission; daughters, Denika Perez of McAllen, Texas, Tiphanie Ayarzagoitia of Fort Worth, Texas and Stacey Ayarzagoitia of Mission; brother, Raul (Dalia) Rodriguez of Falfurrias; sisters, Mary Helen Garcia and Margo Ayarzagoitia both of Falfurrias; sister-in-law, Viola Mireles of San Antonio, Texas and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Romeo Garcia Jr., Rocky Garcia, Raul Rodriguez Jr., Rene Mireles Jr., Andre Villarreal and Anthony Trevino.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:15 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias and services will conclude with a Graveside Service at 3:00 p.m. at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 3611 N. Taylor Road in Mission.
