Oscar Garza Sr.

Oscar Garza, Sr., 66, of Falfurrias, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at a hospice center in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on July 21, 1947 to David Zepeda Garza and Lucia Rodriguez Garza in Falfurrias, Texas. Oscar worked for over ten years as a Diesel Mechanic for Brooks County and then remained self-employed until his retirement. He was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by our Lord; his parents; his adoptive parents, Ponciano and Michaela Perez; son, Oscar Garza, Jr. and brother, Ovidio Garza.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Celestina Garza of Falfurrias; two sons, Oscar Mario Garza of Falfurrias and David Brynn Garza of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Cynthia Ann (Max) Longoria of Pharr, Texas and Shelby Brynn Kiser of San Antonio, Texas; step-son, Roger Ramirez of Falfurrias; six sisters, Diana Johnson, Gelina Castillo, Delfina Gonzales, Delia Navarro, Cindy G. Lopez and Lucila Carvajal; 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
