Petra Lozano

Petra Lozano of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the blessed age of 84. She was born November 19, 1932 in Falfurrias, Texas to Jose Domingo Flores and Paula Perez Flores. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Juan Lozano; daughter, Sylvia Ann Solis; son, Jose Maria Charles, Jr.; granddaughter, Laura Victoria Valero; her brother, Max “El Pollo” Flores and sister, Ophelia Quintanilla.

She is survived by her children, Juan (Gracie) Charles of Falfurrias, Hector (Elvira R.) Charles of Houston, Texas, Marla Martinez of Victoria, Texas, Javier (Brenda) Garcia of San Antonio, Texas, Laura (Felipe) Valero of Boyd, Texas, Selena (Ronnie) Villarreal of Weatherford, Texas and Robert Torres of Carrollton, Texas; 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Lydia Uribe of Hurst, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Luis Solis, Jr., Hector Charles, Jr., Juan Charles, Jr., Cristobal Solis, Rene Gamez, Joe Charles and Robbie Torres.

A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
