Phillip Louis Boerjan passed away Monday August 9, 2021 at the age of 68. He was born October 21, 1952 to Peter and Doris Meek Boerjan in Falfurrias, TX. Phillip was a lifelong resident of Falfurrias, as a rancher and farmer. Phillip served as a Department of Public Safety Highway Patrolman for many years before he retired as a Sergeant Narcotics Investigator in 2004. Phillip attended Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX. receiving a bachelor of science degree in Police Administration. He married Rita Lightfoot (Boerjan) on August 15, 1981. Phillip was a devoted brother, husband, father, and son. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias, TX and briefly Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents. Phillip is survived by his wife Rita Boerjan of Falfurrias, three sons, Brian Louis Boerjan of San Antonio, TX., Clayton Miles (Gina) of Corpus Christi, Tx. and Zachary Phillip (Kimberlee) Boerjan of Bulverde, TX. survived also by a brother Tim (Raydell) Boerjan of Falfurrias, a sister Sherry (Kirk) Pape of Lockhart, TX and three grandchildren Jase Peter Boerjan, Cole Miles Boerjan and Gerrit Zachary Boerjan.
Visitation starts at 8:30 a.m. Monday August 16, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams with a Rosary being recited at 9:30 a.m. to follow will be a Funeral mass celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, burial will be at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
