Ramiro R. Martinez, Sr. 88 of Concepcion, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2020 at Christus Spohn Hospital in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on May 13, 1932 to Filomeno Martinez and Guadalupe Ramirez Martinez in Santa Cruz, Texas in Duval County.

On June 24, 1956 he married Zenaida C. Martinez, his high school sweetheart and they went on to live on the family farm, where he was an avid farmer. He and his wife raised eight children together.

Ramiro is preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 63 years, Zenaida C. Martinez; his children, Leticia Martinez (Adan), Phil Noel Martinez (Mary), Ramiro Martinez Jr. (Crissy), Esmeralda Bracksieck (Robert), Michael Martinez (Ombelina), Maricelda Jaramillo (Alex), Martin Martinez (Carol), and Rolando Martinez (Perla);16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of family members and friends.

Rosary will be private; however, there will be a live-streamed chapel service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2020 at https://www.facebook.com/FDAHowardWilliams/

Burial will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2020 at the Premont Cemetery in Premont, Texas.
