Raquel M. Gonzalez

Raquel M. Gonzalez entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at her residence in Hebbronville, Texas at the age of 74. She was born June 21, 1951, to Ernesto Martinez and Melida Rosa Martinez in Hebbronville. Raquel dedicated over 30 years as a teacher for the youth of the community. She cherished her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Cherishing her memories forever are her husband, Jose Leonel Gonzalez of Hebbronville; sons, Marcos X. (Yvette) Gonzalez of Falfurrias, Omar O. Gonzalez and Erick L. Gonzalez both of Hebbronville; brothers, Ernesto (Maria) Martinez Jr., Arnulfo (Martha) Martinez, Alberto (Rosie) Martinez, and Carlos (Aurora) Martinez; sisters, Rosa Moreno (Juan Montez), Eva (Mitch) Brumbelow, Ernestina (Jason) Penny, Ermelinda (Ernie) Noland and Esmeralda Martinez; grandchildren, Marcos X. Gonzalez II, Mariah N. Gonzalez, Erick Lee Gonzalez, Airabella Gonzalez, and Dakota Gonzalez and many extended family members.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville and Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
