Raquel Rodriguez

Raquel Rodriguez, 53, passed away Saturday August 6, 2011 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on January 15, 1958 to Benito Ortiz and Irma Cantu in Falfurrias, Texas. Raquel was a home provider before her illness.

She is preceded in death by her father Benito Ortiz, brother Jose Benito Ortiz, maternal grandmother Celia Benavidez, paternal grandmother Carlota Pena and aunt Hilda Carrasco.

She is survived by her husband Manuel Rodriguez, two sons Raul Trevino, III (Bonnie) and Rolando Menchaca, Jr., a daughter Celia Rodriguez (Ramiro Cadena) all of Falfurrias, Texas, mother Irma Vargas of Falfurrias, Texas, a brother Ismael (Olga) Ortiz, of California, three sisters Nori (Mark) Flores of California, Imelda Bennett of Falfurrias, Texas and Melissa Ortiz of Arizona, eight grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday August 9, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias, Texas.

Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday August 10, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Rolando Robledo, Raul Trevino, III, Rolando Menchaca, Jr., Ramiro Cadena, Ismael Ortiz, and Rolando Carrasco, Jr.
