Raul Castañeda Sr.

Raul Castañeda, Sr. entered into the gates of Heaven on July 14, 2015 at his residence in Hebbronville, Texas at the age of 75. He was born on September 2, 1939 in Hebbronville to Pablo Castañeda and Leonor Suarez. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Raul Castaneda, Jr.; brother, Armando Castañeda; sisters, Elida Robles, Osvelia Garcia and Aurelia Garcia. He leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memories his sons, Armando Castaneda and Valentin (Mary) Castaneda both of Hebbronville; daughter, Marta Castañeda of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Pablo (Vicenta) Castaneda, Jr. of Hebbronville; sisters, Julia (+Osberto) Chapa of Bruni, Texas, Barbarita (Antonio) Lopez of Hebbronville and Sylvia (Arnoldo) Gutierrez of Hebbronville; mother of his children, Valentina Castañeda of Hebbronville; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Armando Castaneda, Agapito Joel Castañeda, Ademar Castañeda, Lucas Serna, Jr., Valentin Daniel Castañeda and Rene Gutierrez.

Holy rosary will be prayed on at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m.. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville.

Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
