Rene Reyes Sr.

Rene Reyes, Sr., 60, of Encino, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 at a hospital in Edinburg, Texas. He was born to Roque Reyes and Anita De La Garza Reyes on December 24, 1961 in Weslaco, Texas.  He was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He enjoyed riding horses, being outdoors and spending time with his family. Rene loved his children and grandchildren more than he could ever put into words.

Rene was reunited in Heaven with his parents and his son, Rene Reyes, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Leticia Escalante Reyes of Encino; son, Roque Reyes of Encino; six sisters, Edith Casias of Somerset, Texas, Consuelo Perez of Encino, Sonia Ramirez of La Vernia, Texas, Beatrice Reyes and Rita Villarreal of San Antonio, Texas and Oralia Flores of Harlingen, Texas and four grandchildren, Evelyn Reyes, Roque Reyes, Jr., Lathan Reyes and Rene Reyes, III.

A Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23,2022 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias, Texas with Visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Rose Garden Family Cemetery in La Parrita.
