My mother, Ana Maria, was Uncle Bob's oldest sister. Uncle Bob was wonderful about staying in touch with her, and when she entered a nursing home, he would call every Sunday to see how she was doing. He even came to Houston to celebrate her 90th birthday with her! After Mom wasn't able to converse with him, Uncle Bob called me every week to check on her and to encourage me as I watched over her care. And even though Mom passed away several years ago, we kept the habit of staying in touch with each other two or three times a month. He was a wonderful uncle and godfather to me, and I will miss him! My heart goes out to my cousins and I wish them all my deepest sympathy.
