Roberto Jesus Cantu passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at a Laredo Hospital at the age of 73. He was born on October 31, 1946 in Hebbronville, Texas to Maria Vasquez and Roberto H. Cantu.

He is preceded in death by his parents

Roberto leaves behind many precious memories that will be treasured by his wife Rosario D. Cantu of Hebbronville; sons, Anestacio “Jesse” (Clarissa) Cantu, Eliverto "Boy" (Maria Lucia) Cantu both of Hebbronville, Roberto J. (Amy) Cantu Jr. of Laredo; daughter, Marla M. (Mauro) Gomez of Laredo; sisters, Lucia (Pedro) Dominguez of Hebbronville, Juanita (Beto) Saenz of Benavides, Dora (Luis) Molina of Hebbronville, Magda (Berney) Drawe of Marathon, Maggie Rushing of Hebbronville; brother, Noe (Elizabeth) Cantu of Petronila; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many extended family

Holy rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Funeraria del Angel Howard-Williams, Hebbronville with visitation starting at 4. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Burial will follow at New Hebbronville Cemetery
