

Roldan Montalvo Jr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at a hospital in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his family, at the age of 80. He was born on February 12, 1945, to Roldan Montalvo and Cristela Almaraz Montalvo in Alice, Texas.
Roldan began his career as a State Game Warden and later became an educator. He started at the elementary level, then went on to become the assistant principal at the high school, as well as a golf coach. He enjoyed working at the elementary level, so the latter part of his teaching career was at Hebbronville Elementary. He spent his afternoons and many Saturdays working at Roldan's Texaco. Roldan loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and cherished creating lasting memories with them. He also enjoyed golfing, visiting the ranch, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Astros fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Roldan leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Anna R. Montalvo of Hebbronville, Texas; his children, Melissa Dale of Hebbronville, Jessica (Sean) Curbow of San Antonio, and Roldan Javier (Jessica) Montalvo of Hebbronville; grandchildren, Eric Montalvo, Ricardo Ramirez, Austin Dale, Dalyssa G. Perez, Kayden Curbow, Seth Curbow, Omar Montalvo, and Karina Montalvo; great-grandchildren, Abran Ramirez, Ameli Montalvo, Mia Montalvo, Gianna Montalvo, and Graeson Perez; sister, Dalia Johnson, and brother, David, (Gilda) Montalvo both Hebbronville.
Pallbearers will be Eric Montalvo, Ricardo Ramirez, Austin Dale, Kayden Curbow, Omar Montalvo, and Abran Ramirez. Honorary Pallbearers are David Montalvo, Michael Johnson, Gilberto Guerra Jr., Tony Salinas, Ernesto Gutierrez, Sean Curbow, Seth Curbow, Ross Thormahlen, J.A. Perez, Rudy Ramos Jr., Roel Montalvo Jr., Hector J. Montalvo, Roberto "Bobby" Ramos, Mickey Johnson, Roel Perez Jr., Isidro B. Gutierrez, Humberto Martinez, Juventino Morante Jr., Oscar Danmier, Rene Mario Garcia, Pedro P. Lopez Jr., Lauro Montalvo, Matias Saenz Jr., Michael Nevarez, Mike Cannon, Roberto Guerrero, Chilo Galvan, Roel Gonzalez, Juan Jaureque, Reymundo Flores, Ramiro Garza, Johnny Elizondo, Eddie Moralez, Eduardo Pena, Hector Rodriguez, Beto Ruiz, Arnoldo Luna, Larry Trevino, Noel Garza, Mario Garza, Jose Luis Ramos, Ruben Gonzalez, and Johnny Perez.
Visitation will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville, and services will conclude with Burial at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
