Roldan Pena entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 28, 2022 at his residence in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 90. He was born on March 7, 1932 Ernesto Pena and Dora Garza Pena in Hebbronville, Texas. Roldan proudly served in the United States Army. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator with the Department of Public Transportation for over 28 years until his retirement.
Roldan is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evangelina Lopez Pena; brothers, Elroy Pena, Eleazar Pena, Arnold Pena and Guadalupe M. (Diana) Pena; sisters, Hilda Gurule, Edna Herrera, Evelyn Baumann, Dora Fredericks, Idalia Hinojosa and Lesvia Pena.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his son, Ruben (Melissa) Pena of Harlingen, Texas; daughter, Edna Pena of Kingsville; two grandchildren, Marissa (Kevin) Serna and Ryan Pena; sister-in-law, Marcela Pena of San Antonio, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville with services to conclude with Burial at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
