Roman S. Garza

Roman S. Garza, 89, passed away Monday January 10, 2011 at a hospital in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Garza was born on August 9, 1921 to Sabino Garza and Ester Salinas Garza in Starr County. He was a rancher before his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Santiago Garza, sisters and brother-in-laws Maria M. Garza (Federico), Maria Teresa Ramon (Teodoro). His sister-in-law Ofelia M. Garza of Hebbronville, Texas survives him and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday January 12, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville, Texas. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday January 13, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville, Texas, with burial following at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jose Homero Garza, Santiago Roberto Garza, Juan A. Garza, Mario A. Garza, J.D. Ramon and Reynaldo Ramirez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Beatrice Garza, Maria Salazar, Noelia Herrera, Benilde Morales, Gloria Ramos, Frances Ramon and Jose Homero Garza, Jr.
