Rosa P. Moreno

Rosa P. Moreno, age 76, of Alice, Texas entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 7, 2014. She was born on September 17, 1937 to Blacksmith Leocadio Perez, Sr. and Lucrecia Cuellar Perez in Hebbronville, Texas. Rosa was not only a housewife but a Certified Beautician who owned her own business and was at one time President of the Jim Hogg Co. ISD School Board. Rosa was the Historian of the family who loved to quilt, sew, go to garage sales and collect antiques. She loved to travel and visit with family and friends. She was the baby of the family and out of her 9 siblings she was the most unique. Rosa loved to spread her love for all and took on the responsibility of being a Godmother to many of her nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and so was her baby boy "Bruce".

Rosa was welcomed into Heaven by the embrace of the loving arms of the Lord; her parents; four sisters, Zulema Canales, Porfiria Perez, Berta Guerra and Graciela Garza and three brothers, Baldemar Perez, Leocadio Perez, Jr. and Dario Perez. She leaves behind to cherish the wonderful memories her loving husband of over 56 years, Eleazar Moreno, Sr. of Alice; son, Eleazar Moreno, Jr., daughter-in-law Rebecca Moreno and two grandchildren Rebecca Eleza and Christopher Michael of Weimar, Texas; two sisters, Micaela Coronado and Gloria Vasquez both of Hebbronville; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville.

Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
