Roy Anthony “Tony” Mora passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 39. He was born on February 18, 1983 in Corpus Christi, Texas. During his younger years, Tony loved to participate in sports like baseball, football and track. He was a 2001 Falfurrias High School graduate and continued his education at Del Mar College. He was a music artist with a love for rap music and went by the name of “Sir Big Tizzle”. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Tony was an avid motorcyclist and had a special love for motorcycles. He was currently working for South Texas Machine Shop in Alice, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Felix and Francisca Mora, Sr. and his maternal grandparents; Salome and Basilisa Lopez.
He is survived by his parents, Felix and Angelita L. Mora, Jr. and Roy S. and Jeannie Mora all of Falfurrias; son, Eugene David Avalos of San Juan, Texas; brother, Felix “Trey” Mora, III of Falfurrias; sisters, Ludy (Michael) Garcia of San Juan, Rosemary (Jaime) Rodriguez and their family of Alvin, Texas and Jessica Mora (Michael) Sosa of Austin, Texas; nephews, Braydon Mora, Tristan Garcia and Michael E. (Teresa Eva) Garcia; nieces, Mikayla Soliz, Amber Soliz and Heather Garcia and many extended family members and friends.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Braydon Mora, C.J. Hernandez, Marco Trevino, Moses Mora, Justin Gonzalez and Joey Cabrera.
Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
