Timothy L. Gavin, Sr.

Timothy L. Gavin, Sr., of Premont, Texas, passed away in his home on October 3, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Judy; three sons, Timothy, Jr., Bobby (Lisa) and Randy(Misty); eight grandchildren, one brother, Francis Gavin and five sisters, Maggie Ferguson, Theresa Ashley, Martha Nottveit, Cathy Karniza and Mary Gavin. He was preceded in death by his mother, Larcilla; father, Francis; five brothers and one sister. Tim was born and raised in Roundup, Montana. He ventured into the oilfield when he was 18 years old and worked in many different fields in several parts of Texas. Later he ventured offshore on the drilling rigs to pick up and learn a new interest in instrumentation which eventually led him to the fields in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. He loved his job and truly enjoyed the beautiful country where he has spent the past six years working. He met many people from all over the world and always enjoyed calling them a friend. His joking ways and big Irish smile will be sadly missed by his family and many cherished friends. May you hear his pipes roaring from above the clouds as he rides his Harley down the main streets of Heaven. We Love You Tim.

Prayer service will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias.

Burial will follow at the Premont Cemetery in Premont, Texas.
