

She was born on July 31, 1962, in Falfurrias, Texas, to Gilbert Arevalo and Oralia Maldonado Arevalo. Veronica dedicated over 30 years of her life to education, faithfully serving at Brooks County ISD and Premont ISD, where she touched the lives of many students and colleagues.
Veronica was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the unwavering love and support she gave to her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gilbert Arevalo Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bernal Rios Jr.; her children, Tessa (Theo) Manes of Lacey, WA, Lydia (Johnny) Garza, Bernadette (Brandon) Vargas, Jeanette Rios and Victor Ledesma of Falfurrias, TX, Lizette Rios and Damian Tellez of Mission, TX; her brothers, Lando Arevalo, Manuel Arevalo, and Daniel Arevalo, all of Falfurrias; as well as 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
Pallbearers will be Lando Arevalo Jr., Jaime Arevalo, Manuel Arevalo Jr., C.J. Arevalo, Daniel Arevalo, and Sergio Tijerina.
A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday April 29th, burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
