Yomeida L. Venecia

Yomeida Venecia entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Christus Spohn Kleberg hospital in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 79. She was born on February 6, 1943 to Adan Lopez and Manuela Perez Lopez in Falfurrias, Texas. Yomeida worked as a Manager and Supervisor for Dairy Queen for over 20 years. She was an avid volunteer and dedicated many years as a 4-H Leader and after retirement, was a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Alice, Texas and a hospital volunteer for the Christus Spohn hospital in Alice and Kingsville

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rene Venecia, and brother, Wilfredo Lopez.

She is survived by her daughter Melinda Venecia of Kingsville; son, Rene Venecia, Jr. of Weslaco, Texas; sister, Irma (Ramiro) Ramos of Houston, Texas; sisters-in-law, Leonor Lopez and Natalia Villarreal of Falfurrias and Rosie Venecia of Port Lavaca; four grandchildren, Valerie Venecia, Victoria Venecia, Vanessa Venecia (Brian) Gutierrez and Briana Venecia; one great-grandson, Brayden Rene Gutierrez and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Memorial Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m.
