Beverly "Bev" Jean Hodge (née Warner) passed away on August 9, 2025. A woman of deep warmth, humor, and spirit, Bev brought joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Bev was born on May 21, 1952 in Flint, Michigan to the late, Lawrence and Evelyn Warner.
On March 23, 1979, Bev married the love of her life, John Hodge, beginning a journey of 46 wonderful years together. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—caring for her vibrant garden, watching hummingbirds flit among the flowers, and spending time with her cherished cats. Always active and full of energy, Bev could often be found planting something new, cooking up a favorite dish, or rolling the dice for a win in Yahtzee.
Bev had a sparkle in her eye for adventure and fun. She loved the thrill of a good game—whether it was shooting pool, casting a line on a quiet fishing day, or testing her luck at the casino; always with a Lipton lemon iced tea in hand.
Above all, her heart belonged to her family. She found the most joy in spending time with those she loved—especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Bev leaves behind her husband of 46 years, John Hodge; sons: John (Brandi) Hodge II, Carl Hodge, Larry Hodge; grandchildren: Bailey, Ava, Alexis, Ashlyn, John Wayne, Monroe; many aunts, uncles, cousin and special friends; and extended family members, Jamie Broughton and Delilah Berlanga. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Evelyn Warner.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
