Died on September 6th, 2021 in Swartz Creek, Michigan.
David was surrounded by his children at his home in Swartz Creek, Michigan when he died.
David was a man of many hats. He was a self-taught, life-long musician dedicating his life to the love of his music. He worked his life mostly as a Head Machine mechanic for several bowling centers through the years. He was a man of wonder, and fun, he was known as Batman to so many, always a playful heart. He was an inventor, a teacher, a loving father and grandfather. He was a man of Spirit (Native American), integrity, and good will. David also loved the craft of woodwork, having a life-long hobby of building the things around him.
David graduated from Beecher High School in 1971. He went on to have five children by the age of 35. David was the third son born of four boys. He was preceded in death by his parents: father, James Raymond Johnson and his mother, Mildred Leona Lockwood. He is survived by his brothers: James Johnson, Kenneth (Glenda) Johnson, and Ronald (Edel) Johnson. His children: April (Jeff Gajor) Rheingans, Ian (Joelle) Johnson, Lena (James) Morgan, Aubrey Johnson, and Kalie (Jacob Airgood) Johnson. Grandchildren: Colin, Hannah, Charlie, Dakota, Jackson, Christy, James, Nathan, Bryce, Brianna, and Harrison. Great grandchildren: Kayden, Makayla, Christian, and one yet to be born.
A memorial will be held by his children at a later date.
