John E. Hodge

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John E. Hodge, who left us peacefully on June 29, 2026, at the age of 69. A longtime resident of Mt. Morris Township, Michigan, John was born to the late Kenneth and Louise Hodge.

John’s life was filled with simple joys and cherished moments. He had a passion for Yahtzee, ice cream, croquet, and fishing. After a successful career with Country Fresh Dairy, he enjoyed a well-deserved retirement surrounded by the things he loved most. Married to Beverly (Warner) Hodge for 46 wonderful years, John created a loving home where he could often be found tinkering in his pole barn, burning wood, or relaxing with friends while enjoying a smoke.

John was a true homebody, deeply loved by his family and friends, and he will be profoundly missed. He leaves behind his sons, John ( Brandi) Hodge, Carl Hodge and Lawrence Hodge; and his cherished grandchildren, Bailey, John Wayne, Monroe, Ashlyn, Ava, and Alexis Hodge.

He is also survived by his siblings: Francine, Alice, Pat (Peggy), Michael (Kitrinka), Suzie Carr, Karrie (Ken) Platt, and Janise (Dan) Jurgens. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Beverly and siblings Kenny, Karl, Deborah, and Linda Hodge.

In accordance with John’s wishes, there will be no formal service at this time. However, a celebration of life will be held in his honor at a later date. Condolences and well wishes may be directed to the family via the Reigle Funeral Home website in Flushing, Michigan.
