Lisa Ann Gioventu

Lisa Ann Gioventu, age 51, of Flushing, MI passed away on October 13, 2026 at her home after a long courageous battle with cervical and lung cancer. She was born on June 12, 1975 in Flint, Michigan, to parents Donald Gioventu and Susan Gioventu (Ketcham).

Lisa was a devoted and loving sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend who will be sadly missed.

Lisa graduated from Flushing High School in 1993. She then obtained her Bachelor's degree in applied science from Baker College and went on to get her Master's degree in criminal justice from Arizona State.

Lisa was employed at Dr. Bodem's office as a secretary for several years. She then worked as a dispatcher at Double K and S Tow Company. Lisa enjoyed diamond art, crocheting, spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, watching movies, and sharing her cancer journey on facebook to encourage and inspire others going through similar situations. She also adored cats and especially loved BJ and Bud. Bailey, Jay and Stephanie's dog, held a special place in her heart and loved Lisa to pieces.

She is survived by her brother Jay (Stephanie) Gioventu; niece and nephew Olivia Gioventu and Landon Gioventu; aunts and uncles Brent Ketcham, David Ketcham, Brian (Dianne) Ketcham, Bruce (Janice) Ketcham, and Dorothy Ketcham; she was also survived by several loving cousins.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Susan Gioventu; and her uncles Thomas Ketcham and Donald Ketcham.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 4222 Elms Road, Flushing, Michigan 48433 on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 11am. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor James Brabson. Following the service, there will be a luncheon at the church for family and friends.
