Arlee Bunn

Arlee (Banks) Bunn was born on December 12, 1923 in Lake Providence, Louisiana. She was the firstborn of her parents, Johnson and Louise Banks who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Willie, Robert, Elmer, Inez, Leroy, Wilbert, Weldon and Leo. She made her transition from Earth to Heaven on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 11:45 p.m. with Carol and Melvin lovingly there with her. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories: Her sisters, Bobbie Jean Banks, Reola Banks and her brother, Melvin “M.B.” Banks; her grandchildren, Dr. Cynthia (Lawrence) Broughton, Carol Mason, Rogina Ruffin and Melvin Phillips, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Major Kenyatta (Tane) Ruffin, USAF, Sidney Ruffin, Melcolm Ruffin, Robert Mason and Cynina Mason; her great, great grandchildren, Tabitha Ruffin, Lydia Ruffin, Johanna Ruffin and Thaddaeus Ruffin; two very special nieces, Susan Acker and Allene Wilson; her son-in-law, Floyd Butler and family; a very special friend, Dene Spencer; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday June 26 from 3 PM to 8 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home 7750 W. Cermak Rd., Forest Park. Memorial services will take place on Sunday June 28 at 3:30 PM at the Second Baptist Church of Maywood 436 S. 13th Ave., Maywood.
