Barbara A. Glencoe

She was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on November 15, 1941. Barbara graduated from Farragut High School in Chicago and was a "Domestic Engineer" prior to her opening a consignment shop in Cicero. She owned and operated The Recession Shop for 23 years. She loved gardening, cooking, fishing, shopping, decorating, and especially spending time with family and friends.

Barbara and Eugene spent many years going to their family home in Custer Michigan which they lovingly named "Foggy Acres."

She will be best remembered for always helping others. She made friends wherever she went, she always had a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen, or a helping hand.

She is survived by her son Russell Glencoe, daughter Kimberly (David) Halverson, her cherished grandchildren Benjamin Pennacchio (Shannon Kaminski), Nicole Pennacchio (Jamal Thompson), Gregory Glencoe, and Garrett Glencoe. Great grandchildren Aubree and Brayden Thompson, Bonus daughter Wendi Glencoe, and Bonus grandchildren Aaron Halverson, Megan Halbur (nee Halverson), and Taylor Jones.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to The Bhorade Cancer Center 3745 Highland Ave., Downers Grove, IL.

Visitation for Barbara will take place Thursday, April 18, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday April 19 from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Service 10:30 AM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, IL 60130.
