

She graduated from Morton East High school. Throughout her life, she found joy in simple, life-giving pursuits—tending to gardening and embracing opportunities to travel, always with an appreciative eye for beauty and a grateful heart for the world around her.
Blanche will be best remembered for her loving generosity, her deep empathy for other people and animals, and her abiding love of family. In countless everyday ways, she offered kindness freely and made others feel seen, comforted, and cared for—leaving behind a legacy of warmth that will continue to be felt by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Emma Karlovsky; husband Louis Cuba Jr., sisters Mary Belica and Emily Sailer; brother Frank Karlovksy; nephew Eddie Sailer, Jr.; significant other Otto Capek.
Blanche is lovingly remembered by her son Laurence Cuba, daughter in law Barbara Cuba, niece Elaine Pesek, nephews Fred, Carl, and Dale Karlovsky and numerous great grandnieces and nephews; plus friend and caregiver Peter Younan.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to your local DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, IL 60130, US, on June 22, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral service Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 11am in the funeral home chapel.
