Bonnie Adele Polis (nee Kovacic), 65, passed away May 31, 2026, alongside her family. She was a loving wife for 40 years to Robert; she will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Amy (Kyle) Moore and Holly (Jason) Sitts; proud grandma “Amma” of Jaxon, Ella, and Trevor Moore, and Isla Sitts; she will be missed by many family and friends worldwide.
Preceded in death by parents William Paul and Ellamae née Selak, Kovacic, brother William Paul Kovacic, Jr., grandson Bennett Edward Sitts ad two angel grandbabies.
Bonnie graduated from Rosary College and Concordia University. She retired as first grade teacher from North Berwyn School District 98.
She enjoyed talking on the phone, spending time with her grandchildren and vacationing on Sanibel Island.
Bonnie will be best remembered for her smile and generosity.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, IL 60130, on July 14, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm; Reflections by family at 6pm.
In honor of Bonnie, please wear one her favorite colors, pink or purple.
