Dick was an outstanding individual. I remember well his family had an old bobsled which was stored in the loft of their garage. Dick convinced his parents to allow us to take it to Jones Park hill.
Of course we had to pull it to the park. After only a few invigorating high speed rides down the toboggan run we were banished by park officals to the hill without lights and with the trees at the bottom.
Fear not we continued our new found trill ride with the added challange of negotigating through the row of trees at bottom of the hill.
May Dick rest in peace in the house of the Lord.

Dick was my friend since 3rd grade, 6 decades ago. We share an abundance of life as best friends in childhood, high school, college and adult life. He was a truly smart person who understood humanity. He also was a gifted writer. We shared the gift of gab, and our last phone call on January 25 lasted 1 hour and 31 minutes. There is so much more to say, but for now to Laura, Marty and familiies, know my heart hurts with you all. bobc
