Dolores “Dee” Marie Pecina, née Dvorak, 92, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023. She was a loving wife of the late Lawrence Pecina; beloved mother of the late Keith (the late Mary) Pecina, Karen (Rick) Raz, and Denise (Bill) Kania; cherished grandmother of Eric (Erica Spangler Raz) Raz, Amy (Matt) Warfel, Alex (Rachel) Raz, Elise (Frank) Sarnelli, Adam Pecina, Erin Pecina, Matt Kania, and Jeff Kania; treasured great-grandmother of Edmund Raz, Ernest Raz, Henry Warfel, Grace Warfel, Aubrey Pecina, Layla Gabriel, and Vincent Sarnelli; adoring sister to Darlene Surch; aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Dolores attended Farragut High School. She worked for Bank of Wheaton and True Value Hardware.
She loved dancing, bowling, gardening, the Chicago Bears and the Denver Broncos. She shared her talent of knitting, painting, crafting handmade cards with her loved ones, and thoroughly enjoyed playing all sorts of card and board games. Dolores will be best remembered for her positive attitude, smiles, hugs, and generosity. Her life was filled with many friends and laughter wherever she went.
