Eileen M Pech

Eileen was born on October 30, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Eleanor Rys. She grew up in Chicago with her best friend Audry Mogge, as adopted sisters and later studied Journalism and received her Master’s degree. She worked at “Life Newspaper” in Berwyn, IL for 40 years and was considered to be dedicated and caring Journalist of her time. She covered the Berwyn Township 708 Community Mental Health Board, with an unbiased opinion and retired in November 1999. She married Henry Pech on September 14, 1963, and together they shared 49 years of marriage. They raised Nancy, and enjoyed being a family in the Berwyn community.

Eileen is remembered for her kindness, humor, generosity, strength. She enjoyed reading, and writing as her hobbies. Above all, she cherished being a mother to Nancy and caring for her family.

Eileen is survived by her daughter Nancy. She was a sister to Audrey Cleff and Aunt to her 6 children. She is preceded in death by her mother Eleanor and husband Henry.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 30th, 2026 from 1:00 PM - 2:15 PM followed by a chapel service from 2:15 PM to 3:00 PM at: Woodlawn Funeral Home - 7750 W Cermak Road, Forest Park, IL, 60130
