Manny attended classes at Wilbur Wright College (then Wright Junior College) before serving with the US Army Corps of Engineers as a combat photographer in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged as a Spec 5, he worked as an independent professional photographer, and later worked at Filmack Studios in Chicago. Building on his lifelong interest in military history and antiques, Manny founded his own business as a military antiquarian and earned a reputation for knowledge, character, integrity, and his wry sense of humor. He was a Life Member of the Ohio Valley Military Society (OVMS) and a longtime member of the American Society of Military Insignia Collectors (ASMIC).
Manny was predeceased by his loving wife, Caroline (Woody) Scoulas, and his brothers George and Louis, who were both Greek Orthodox Priests. Manny is survived by his son Andrew, daughter-in-law Jung Mi (Kim) Scoulas, his sister Irene Forakis, and relatives in the US and Greece. He will be dearly missed by family, friends, and business colleagues.
