Erwin (Erv) J. Schwab 79, of Plainfield, a former resident of Oak Park, born July 15, 1938 in Chicago, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 29, 2018. Beloved husband for 54 years of Mary (nee Dillon) Schwab; loving father of Cathy (Roland) Tomsons, Alice (Glenn) Jauch, Mary (Johnny) Cavins, and Jim Schwab; cherished grandfather of Kevin, Jake, Monica, Scott, Shannon, Megan, and Nicole; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Erwin was a 50 year member of The Loyal Order of Moose and a member of the Harlem Maennerchor. A visitation will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home 7750 W. Cermak Rd. Forest Park IL 60130 on Monday April 2, 2018 from 3-9pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am at Ascension Catholic Church, 808 S. East Ave, Oak Park, IL 60304.
