Francisco Collazo

He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Lucas (Janice) Collazo, niece Awilda (Marty)Chute; grandniece Angela (Ruben) Junez and great grandnephew Eban and numerous nieces and nephews; also by Carlos (Kim) Collazo. He was preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Petra, sister Minga, brothers Carlos and Luis Enrique, and nephew Rey Collazo.

Graduated from Puerto Rico Theological Seminary in 1953, University of Chicago with an MA in Social Work in 1970. He worked as an associate pastor in churches in Puerto Rico and Chicago area; also worked for the VA Administration for 25 years as a social worker.

His favorite pastimes were short and long-distance running, caring for his birds indoors and outdoors. He will be best remembered for helping others, being kind and tending to his beautiful plants.

A memorial visitation for Paco will be Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11am at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W. Cermak Rd., Forest Park, IL 60130. Please omit flowers. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Info 708-442-8500 or www.woodlawnchicago.com
