Gary E. Wettstaedt was born on September 14th, 1945, in Chicago, IL to Ralph and Lucille. He grew up in Berwyn, IL and later served in the Army and was a Vietnam veteran and worked as an industrial engineer for Phillips Company.
Gary is remembered for his kindness and generosity. He enjoyed Golf was an avid fisherman and deer and pheasant hunter. Above all he cherished time with family and friends.
Gary is survived by daughters Kim Rome and Lisa Wettstaedt, Sister-in-law Joyce Wettstaedt, Nephew Rob Wettstaedt, Niece Sandy Augustyniak and husband Jerry Augustyniak and their children Haley and JT Augustyniak.
Visitation for Gary will be on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 10am to 12pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W. Cermak Rd, Forest Park, IL. Funeral service to follow at 12pm.
