Dear Gram, 
Words can't describe how I feel about what has happened. I'm miserable without you. I knew this day had to come I just hoped it wouldn't be this soon. Other than Angelina, you were the person I was closest to. I could always depend on you for anything. You were always there for me. You played a big role in my life and now that you're gone I feel empty inside. A part of me has died with you and I know I won't be whole again until I get to see you. I know it's sad and maybe a little disappointing to others for me to say this but I wouldn't mind if I passed anytime soon. At least then I'd be with you again. I miss you so much that I don't know what to do with myself. At work I stare off into space. My head isn't where it's supposed to be because I'm thinking about you. I can't sleep at night because I know you're not in your room. I hate walking into the dining room because when I look into your room I don't see your tv or your light on. I hate coming home because you're not there to discuss with me how my day went. Gram you mean the world to me. I know it might be a little selfish of me to say this but I didn't want you to leave me. Maybe you were tired and ready to go but I'm not ready to let you go and honestly I don't think I ever will be. I just want you to know that I will never forget you. You'll be on my mind and in my heart every day of my life. I love you with all of me and I look forward to the day I can see you again.

I am happy to say that I had the pleasure of meeting this great woman and the memories of going to Diane's grams house where I would spend many of my teenage days, just eating good food and having so much fun.  My condolences to the family.

   Still again to me like another shock. God has taken two people from our family. I know i wasn't as close to you as Lina and Marisa were but you were still my grandma. I guess it true when they say you just have to live life no matter how much time you have to live it. i remember the last time i saw you at the house you smiled and poked me in my stomach that day would be a day i would never forget.. love grandma Helen.. say hi to ma and grandpa ed for me.. xoxoxo.. love you Alissa

Gram, 

It's so very hard to grasp that you were taken so suddenly from us. The Lina, Marisa and myself were talking about all the times you walked us to that one park near your old house. Or how we use to have tea parties with you. You've had an amazing life and have so many things and people to be proud of. You've had the opportunity to see not only your children and your grandchildren, but your great grandchildren grow into the beautiful adults they are today. I will forever hear your voice in my heart - I love you. Please give Grandpa Ed and Grandma Barb a big hug and kiss for me - you're with your parents, husband and son - and forever at peace. This is not goodbye - but see you later <3

Still so very hard to believe you are not with us anymore.  You never really believe someone will ever leave you...til it happens.  So many memories keep running through my head...our trips to Kentucky, Kings Island with Auntie Sandy, Florida and Wisconsin, and of course Southern Illinois to also visit with Auntie Sandy and family.  I am greatful to you for helping me explore and travel.  I loved our card games- Poker, Gin Rummy, Double Solitare, playing barbies (you were always so inventive...creating barbie furniture out of McDonald's styroform big mac boxes. I loved "shopping" with you in the Sears and JCPenny's Christmas catalogs, playing store, walking to Cermak Plaza to see the concerts and the polka dancers dance...You loved your bowling and talked often of your girlfriends from work and from the team. Thank you Gram, for everything you've done, for everything you have been to all of us.  You were always  there for us, providing for us in every way imaginable.  We love you very much and you will live in our hearts forever- your granddaughter, Diane

 It's hard to believe you are gone. I was reminiscing when I was a child about all the vacations we took together,  the sleepovers,  the delicious waffles you made and how you always made things fun.  You liked to dance and you enjoyed our variety shows we put on when you came over our house.  You were a fan of the Cubs,  Lawrence Welk and Elvis.
 I am so grateful you were around for your great grandchildren. You will be deeply missed and live in all of our hearts forever.
