At times I'm overcome with sadness at how much I miss my grandmother. I allow all of the fond loving memories of her ease my sorrow.
I find myself drinking a coca cola and eating a milky way candy bar because those were two of my grandmothers favorite snacks. I also watch murder she wrote, jepordy and wheel of fortune and remember the great times I had watching those shows with her.

Watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy with my Grandmother is a fond memory I have.  We would enjoy playing along with the contestants.

We miss Jessie. She was a woman of strong faith, adored by her family, always ready with a smile, and wonderful storytelling. Jessie was an excellent cook who love to entertain. She was simply an earth angel. Love you Jessie, Sandra and Lawrence Terrell.

We always enjoyed our visits to Chicago to see our dear, Aunt Jessie. Rest well. Our condolences to the family. 

Remember the love, the good times, and the laughter.

Our memories of her love and laughter will ease the pain of separation while she reunites with other loved ones.

Aunt Jessie is together again with family members that have prepared the way for her.  

Aunt Jessie showered us with love and brought us lots of joy.   She cared for her family and a had a great sense of humor even on days when the aches and pains of maturation limited her mobility.   She will be missed.

To my Great Grandmother, 

You lived a long wonderful life. Thank you for your sacrifices and your love. I will cherish the memories I have of visiting you in Chicago. I’m so happy I got a chance to see your beautiful face one last time. I’m sure you’re in heaven with my grandma April playing Keno! Love and miss you always.. 


I am grateful I got to grow up and spend so much time with my grandmother. She was a true virtuous woman that made her a phenomenal wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her strength, insight and faith will truly be missed in todays world.


Dearest Grandma Jesse,

Although we lived miles apart, you were always in my heart.   You will truly be missed. I will forever cherish the special memories we shared, like playing Dominos,  Scrabble &  of course your favorite Pokeno, always eager to win the blackout. Thank you for all your  care, kindness, sacrifices, but most of all thank you for never judging me for being me.

You will always be in my thoughts

Aunt Jessie was sweet to me..happy I was doing our family history and talking about my dad/her brother. Good to know she is with the Lord now.  My condolences to the family. 

Jessie, my mother-in-law, was a kind and gentle woman. She welcomed me into both her home and family with open arms. Also, she was a positive person. She was always looking for the silver lining in a grey storm cloud. Jessie was an excellent cook. On most holidays, it seemed as though the entire family would stop by, eager to eat her delicious pies or mouthwatering ham. Jessie will forever be remembered for the things she loved to do as well as for the love she spread through kind gestures. Jessie was simply beautiful, both inside and out. From her silver hair to her angelic personality. She was an angel on earth, and now she is an angel in heaven. May she rest in peace. 

Our hearts are broken but we know you are resting in the arms of Jesus.  You lived a good life & we thank God for the memories & love you shared.
