John David Coffelt Jr., age 55, passed away on January 12, 2018. Beloved husband of Lora Coffelt; loving father of Heather (Fiancée Scott Johnson) Coffelt, and Fallon (Justin) Tureson; cherished grandfather of Shaun Tureson, Addy Tureson, and Mae Tureson; Dear brother of Jimmy (Kim) Coffelt, and Joey (Jean) Coffelt; fond uncle of Gregory, James, Mark, Jamie, Amanda, Jenna, Joseph, and Jacob. Visitation from 3:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, January 16, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W Cermak Rd, Forest Park, IL. 60130. Funeral Service on Wednesday, January 17, at 10:00a.m., also at the funeral home.

John was known as "Jack" to everyone who knew him. He was the son of two factory workers. He himself was a mechanic and laborer. He taught his children to work hard and not be afraid to get dirty. He was a doting husband, a generous grandfather, and a supportive big-brother.

Jack's passion was in admiration of the little things in life. He enjoyed the change in the colors of the leaves, the sound of muscle cars, a good western, and spending time fishing with family. His laugh was contagious and his presence filled a room.
