Jorge Martinez

Jorge Martinez, 59 of Lyons, Illinois passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Jorge was born May 6, 1966, in Tarimoro, Guanajuato, Mexico. He moved to Chicago at a young age and worked hard to provide for his family. He was happily married to Rosalyn Martinez, together they raised 6 children and 16 grandchildren. Jorge will be remembered for his infectious smile, sense of humor, dance moves and most importantly nurturing way of loving his friends and family. He touched many lives and will be remembered for his kind heart and caring nature.

Jorge was a family man, and he will be missed dearly by all of his loved ones.

Jorge Martinez passed away October 4th, 2025, he was 59 years young. He was a strong man and fought hard until the very end. May he suffer no more and rejoice in eternal paradise with his loving granddaughter and the rest of his family and friends until the day we all meet again. Love you Pa

Visitation / velorio for Jorge will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, IL 60130. A second night visitation / velorio will occur Friday, October 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral mass / misa will occur Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Mother of the Americas Catholic Church, 2226 S Whipple St, Chicago, IL 60623. Please meet at church.
