Pepe was born on June 10, 1975 in Lima, Peru to parents Teresa and Francisco E. Flores. The Flores family immigrated to Forest Park, IL in March of 1989. Pepe attended St. Bernadine’s Elementary school and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1994. He earned his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Pepe found his calling in law enforcement and became a police officer with the Forest Park Police Department, where he proudly served for 23 years. Officer Pepe Flores was known for his kindness, sincerity, and dedication to public service. For those who knew him personally, his generosity, gentleness, and willingness to support his family, friends, and local community was head and shoulders above and beyond (both figuratively, and literally.) Pepe’s size and stature were matched only by the size of his heart.
Pepe is survived by his daughter Maria E. Flores, twin brother Martin Flores (Carla), brother Francisco J. Flores (Emily), and parents Teresa and Francisco E. Flores. Pepe also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends at home and abroad.
