Kenneth Bell, 93, of River Forest, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025. He was born on July 18, 1931, in Chicago, raised on the southwest side of Chicago and a longtime member of the Salem Baptist Church. On August 26,1956 he married his lifelong partner, Mary Bell. For over 45 years he worked for Kraft General Foods, he served in the Army in Korea from 1953 to 1955, he was a boy scout leader for many years, he enjoyed spreading the good news of the bible, shooting pool, remodeling houses, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.
Ken is survived by his sons Kenneth and Bradley, daughter-in-law Mary (née Nienas), grandchildren Kristin, Katelyn (Katie), and Christopher (Chris), and his sister Gloria (Bell) Upp. Ken was proceeded in death by his wife, Mary D. Bell and parents, Lance and Mildred (Anderson) Bell.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 2pm. Arrangements under the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Forest Park, Illinois.
