Lisa Elina Kell passed away peacefully at home on May 24th, 2023, at the age of 46 years. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Ryan, her daughters Elina and AnnaBelle, her sister Christy, her father Armando and her stepmother Rita. Lisa was preceded in death by her beloved mother Michiko.
Born on October 18, 1976, in Centralia, Illinois, Lisa graduated from Kaskaskia College in 1996 and the University of Kansas in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree. She worked for the Illinois State Police as a Forensic Scientist in the Biology DNA Section for 19 years and is recognized by her colleagues and leadership for her outstanding public service and dedication.
Lisa will be remembered for her incredible generosity and kindness to everyone that knew her. She always put others first. Lisa’s heart and soul were her husband and girls. She was so proud of her daughters’ achievements in karate and the support of the Enso community. Lisa enjoyed the outdoors, volunteered at the Brookfield Zoo and extended the same compassion she had for people to all creatures. She had a cutting sense of humor that could lift your spirits, and was always up to share a good time over some Dole Whip. Lisa loved beautiful things and had an attention to detail that was evident in her scrapbooking, crafting, and collection of vintage lemon dresses. Her affection for theme parks, roller coasters, and Disney World ran deep, and she created many magical moments there with her family.
Even though Lisa was taken too soon after a courageous battle with cancer, she lived an extraordinary life surrounded by those who adored her. Please join us in honoring Lisa on Saturday, June 24th, 2023 when friends and family will gather for a visitation that will be held from 11 am – 3:30 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 3:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are appreciated to Child's Voice, https://childsvoice.org/donate-today/. Lisa's daughter Elina attended this school.
