Louise Ecker Buchert

Born July 10, 1920 in Buckley, IL, Louise was the daughter of William and Blandina (Hecht) Ecker. She attended grade school and high school in Buckley and then moved to Chicago to work before the war.

A proud veteran of World War Il, she obtained the rank of Sergeant in the Woman's Army Air Corps and served at Langley Air Base in Langley, VA.

Louise worked in Chicago after the war and married Robert Buchert of Chicago in 1947. They lived in Chicago and Cicero, IL. She had three sons and one daughter and worked as a homemaker.

Louise is survived by son Roger (Patricia Hazel) Buchert of Rockford, son Randy Buchert of Tomah, WI, daughter Catherine (Dave Gerberick) Durrani of Madison WI,nd two grandchildren Jerusha & Shahbaz Durrani, both of Madison. She also has

numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Robert), youngest son (Thomas), four brothers and seven sisters.

Louise was a member of Mt Olive Lutheran Church of Rockford.
