Maggi graduated from Kennedy High School in 1968 and devoted her working life to caring for others, serving at Oak Park Hospital, Westlake Hospital, and Dr. Anthony Saletta’s office. In each place, her gentle presence and kind-hearted way offered comfort that went beyond the duties of the day, reflecting a compassion that was steady and sincere.
Maggi is survived by her loving partner of 35 years, Tom Jagiel. Beloved mother of Daniel (Sarah McKenna) Krygowski, and Daughter Kathryn Krygowski; cherished grandmother of Evan and Isabella Krygowski; cherished sister of Annie Fadze; held close in heart as a daughter, Lauren Jagemann; favorite little Nana to Elliot and Sawyer Jagemann.
In her quieter joys and everyday pleasures, Maggi’s warmth shone brightly. She enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles with Tom, watching hummingbirds, listening to music, and dancing—simple moments made meaningful by her supportive spirit and the ease of her smile.
Maggi will be best remembered for her compassionate, supportive way of loving others—especially her grandchildren—along with her enjoyment of going out to eat and the gentle happiness she brought into the lives around her. Her memory will remain a beloved presence, carried forward with gratitude and enduring respect.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 1pm to 5pm at the home of Dan & Sarah - 2501 East Ave., Berwyn, IL 60402.
