Sometimes in life you meet someone who changes your life forever. That person has a soul connection that withstands the test of time. That beautiful woman has been my dearest and oldest friend of 50 + years. Sharing so many of life's adventures, joys and sadness. Words can not express how blessed my family is to have been a part of Marianna Heaney/Curtin and her loving family's lives. She now sings with the choirs of angels. You my soul sister will alway be in my heart forever. I love you.

Mrs. Curtain will truly be missed but I am glad to be able to say I had her as a teacher.

Mrs. Curtin was a fantastic teacher at Fenwick. I remember our math class being rowdy, but she taught every day with patience and humor. I can still picture her smile when someone would yell a particularly bad joke during the middle of class. We all appreciated the way she interacted with us, and her teaching pace for those who did not have a mind for math. I am thinking of the Curtin family during this difficult time.

I'm going to truly miss my dear friend. Mari and I would drive up in the school's parking lot at the same time each morning. We shared blessings of the day. I looked forward arriving to school each day because of Mari warm smile and great conversation. My sister in Christ this is the day the Lord has made and we are rejoicing in it as we departed to start our day. God bless the Curtin family in Jesus name.

Colleen, I am so sorry to hear about your mom.  Your mom was the heart of your family and I know that you had told me that she was your best friend.  There are no words to describe what you have lost.  Hold tight to those wonderful moments that you had with your mom.  I am sorry that I was not able to be with you.  You and your family are in our prayers. Lots of hugs from me

A wonderful teacher, one whom I remember fondly and often from Fenwick. I struggled with Algebra II but Mrs. Curtin was always so patient and often helped me during study hours in the library and before and after class. She was a gem. My sincere condolences to the Curtin family.

My heart was heavy when I got to work today and heard that your mother had passed away.  Earth has no sorrow that God cannot heal.  Will be praying for you and your family.  Love you Colleen

Ms. Curtin was an amazing person. I was her student this year and always thought she was very kind, but it wasn't until I sat with her at lunch on a field trip that I really got to know her compassionate and funny side. She told me all about her family and asked about mine. She asked about my brother who was born very prematurely and said she had been praying for him every day. That made me realize what a wonderful teacher i was blessed to have because she cared so much about my brother and me. She will truly be missed by all of her students and may she rest in peace.

Marianna was one of the best teachers I have known at Fenwick. Her patience as well as the many hours she spent helping students who were having difficulty will always be remembered.  She WILL BE MISSED!!

I so appreciated being friends when our daughters attended St. Mary of Celle together, and while we did fall out of touch, I never forgot your kindness.
