Nick was born on January 1st, 1935, in Valimitika Aigio Greece, Achaias. He was the son of the late Sotirios and Eleni (Sxoina) Dakalis.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Trisevgeny Dakalis. They were married on September 1st, 1963. Together they shared 47 years of marriage. Loving father of, Sam (Cindy) Dakalis, Eleni (Jerry) Summers. Proud grandfather of Nikolaos, Maria and Katherine and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings; Tasia, Ourania, Marika and Andreas.
Nick is remembered for his smile, kindness and generosity to so many people that he loved. He was an avid sports fan and loved his Greek Soccer Team Olympiacos.
Visitation will be held at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 601 S Central Ave, Chicago, IL 60644, US, on September 18, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum, 2905 N Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171, US, on September 18, 2026, from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm.
