OBITUARY

Peter Wright

February 3, 1968January 2, 2020

Peter Wright, age 51, died unexpectedly on January 2, 2020 in the comfort of his home with his wife, Shelley Wright by his side. Better known as Peet ( Piotr), childhood friends knew him as the mischievous Peetie, an integral part of the Medusa family in his teens and 20s. He is survived by his wife Shelley; parents Elizabeth and Eugene Ozslewski; children Julia, Reed, and Nate Dale; their mother Sandra Dale; and dogs Big Earnie and Goethe.

Graduate of DePaul University, Wright became Associate Director of Network Engineering at Leo Burnett, USA; Director of IT at Yesmail, Inc; Senior IT Manager at Redbox/McDonald’s; Vice-President at R.J. O’Brien; CIO at Q Interactive; IT Director at Cengage Learning; and ultimately Principal/Consultant of his successful business, Peet Wright Design. Friends and family attest to his lasting legacy as an exceedingly intelligent man who knew “a lot about a lot.”

Wright loved to travel. As a child, he visited 48 states with his family. With his forever love Shelley, he discovered Florence, Italy; Switzerland; and Germany where he made lasting friendships and memories. Peet fought silently and bravely against neuroendocrine cancer for many years. He was known for his courage and sense of adventure, curiosity, persistence, and knowledge. Loving husband, father, son, friend, colleague and mentor to many, he will be remembered fondly for his sense of humor and sarcastic wit. He loved greatly, and was greatly loved by all.
