Raymond Warren Kaspar

Born: 12 Dec. 1929 in Chicago, Illinois

Died: 7 Oct. 2022 in Lombard, Illinois. The music still played, but time ran out.

Beloved husband of Carol Kaspar. Loving father of Laurie (Christopher) Borawski, Janice (Vincent) Spataro, and Robert (Mary French) Kaspar; step-father of Michael LaBarbera and Steven (Ami) LaBarbera. Grandfather of 17, Great-grandfather of 19.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Olga Kaspar.

A graduate of Morton High School, Morton Junior College and DePaul University. Army veteran of the Korean War, Retired from United States Gypsum Company where he served in financial services, Treasurer of the Bellwood Community Chest, Cub Scout leader, Member and Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Central DuPage, Treasurer of the Cicero Mushroom Hunting and Fishing Club and member of Faith Lutheran Church, Glen Ellyn.

Ray and Carol enjoyed travel: across the USA, especially Door County, WI, California and Utah; Prague, Paris, London England, St. Maarten, Aruba, Canada, Sweden, and Mexico; cruises in the Panama Canal, the Caribbean, Tahiti, and the Mexican Riviera.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11 am at Faith Lutheran Church, 41 North Park Boulevard, Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The funeral will be live streamed for those unable to attend at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv-8eX8lSYH9e_n6f7zVyjg/feed.
